CODES OF BEHAVIOUR- PLAYERS

Our PLAYERS agree:

1. They will respect and maintain the privacy, confidentiality, dignity and worth of all individuals
    
2. They will play the sport for the good benefits that come with playing this sport
    
3. To be generous when they win and understand that although the win was important, it is important as the effort that they, their teammates, their coaches, their opponents and the officials have given on that day, and this should be acknowledge
    
4. To be gracious when they lose and not behave, speak or gesture in any negative way
    
5. To be fair and honest always, no matter what, even if it affects the final outcome
    
6. Obey the rules of the game and understand that the rules are there, as are the officials, to ensure the sport is safe, fair and respectful for everyone
    
7. To accept the decisions of the officials with good grace even if they think differently, and to ensure that they do not make any derogatory comments about the decision to their teammates, coach or officials that are personal in nature or insight disrespect or anger
    
8. That their opponents are truly conducting themselves with honesty during their play
    
9. That I will conduct themselves with honour and dignity, on and off the playing court, so as not diminish the value of sportsmanship of themselves, their teammates, the coaches, the officials and the sport
    
10. To honestly and wholeheartedly applaud the efforts of their teammates, all coaches, their opponents and officials regardless of the outcome and to fully participate with respect and kindness in any sport specific rituals that promote good sportsmanship (i.e. handshake)
     
11. They will work for the common good of the team and not put their personal needs or ego ahead of what is best for their teammates
     
12. That they will give their best effort they can in the moment of playing sports and will conduct themselves during that time in such  a manner as not to disrespect, embarrass, downplay, mock   or patronize their opponents, especially if the play is largely in favour of their side (i.e. run up the score and/or celebrate a goal when the score is largely in their favour)
     
13. To be grateful to the staff, volunteers, spectators (and their parent(s)/ guardian(s)), the organization and the sport that provided them this experience
