CODES OF BEHAVIOUR- SPECTATORS

Premier Sports League's Code of Behaviour promotes the essential elements of character building and ethics in sports as embodied in the concept of sportsmanship and six core principles: trustworthiness, respect, responsibility, fairness, caring, and good citizenship. The highest potential of sports is achieved when competition reflects these principles.
 

Our SPECTATORS are expected to:

1. remember that participants play sports for their enjoyment and players are not playing to accommodate my interests
    
2. not have unrealistic expectations of coaches, players or officials
    
3. remember that players are not professionals and cannot be judged by professional standards nor what I deem to be expected from that of a mature adult, including myself
    
4. respect the officials’ decision and I will encourage participants to do the same
    
5. never ridicule a coach, player or official for making a mistake during a game
    
6. not coach players during play particularly if it contradicts the coach/ team
    
7. give positive comments that motivate and encourage continued effort
    
8. condemn the use of harassment, bullying or violence in any form and will express my disapproval in an appropriate manner, at a mutually agreeable time to coaches and league officials
    
9. show respect for all teams, realizing that without them there would be no game for me to enjoy
    
10. not use foul language, nor will I vocally harass players, coaches, officials, or other spectators
     
11. abide by the policies, rules and regulations of the organizer and the facility
