CODES OF BEHAVIOUR- VOLUNTEERS

Premier Sports League’s Code of Behaviour promotes the essential elements of character building and ethics in sports as embodied in the concept of sportsmanship and six core principles: trustworthiness, respect, responsibility, fairness, caring, and good citizenship. The highest potential of sports is achieved when competition reflects these principles.

Our VOLUNTEERS agree:

1. They will do their best to ensure all players are given the same chance to participate, regardless of gender, ability, ethnic background or race or other biases
    
2. They will absolutely address any unsafe play, foul language or disrespect from players, coaches, officials, parents and spectators within the venue before, during and after play
    
3. They will make sure that all equipment and facilities are safe and match the athlete’s ages and abilities
    
4. They will make sure that the age and maturity level of the participants are considered in leagues, tournaments and sports program delivery
    
5. They will ensure that rules of play are properly enforced so that games are safe, fair and respectful
    
6. They will promote our sports as an activity to learn valuable life lessons, the most important of which is that the players have fun and create memorable moments and friendships
    
7. They will enforce our codes of behavior of coaches, players, officials, parents and spectators
    
8. They will make sure that coaches and officials are capable of promoting fair play
    
9. They will abide by all the policies, standards and guidelines set out by Premier Sports Leagues
    
10. They will ensure that any complaints are taken directly to the authorized person(s) for an expedite resolution
     
11. They will make themselves available to answer any questions or help coaches, players, officials and parents
